ChloriTap™, a jointly patented technology by VP Eco Trade LLP and IIT Roorkee, is a flagship gravity-based chlorine tablet dosing system designed to make safe drinking water accessible across India. Developed in alignment with the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and rural water supply requirements, ChloriTap™ operates without electricity, pressure, or complicated maintenance, making it ideal for remote communities, schools, health centres, and urban clusters.

A Smart, Non-Electric Chlorination Solution for Rural and Urban Water Systems
ChloriTap™ is a gravity-powered, non-electric chlorine dosing system designed to deliver safe, consistent, and low-cost drinking water disinfection. Developed by VP Eco Trade LLP, ChloriTap™ is an ideal solution for India’s diverse water infrastructure — from handpumps in rural hamlets to overhead tanks in large urban clusters.
ChloriTap™ operates without electricity, moving parts, or skilled operation. It uses WHO-recommended 200g chlorine tablets (NSF certified) to dose water at safe and effective levels — typically 1 ppm, as recommended under BIS 10500 and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) guidelines.
Each unit works on gravity and vacuum suction, mounted at the same level as the pipeline or overhead tank outlet. This ensures zero pressure loss, zero leakage, and zero contamination — while requiring almost no ongoing maintenance. Unlike cartridge-based or chemical-injection systems, ChloriTap™ doesn’t depend on power, dosing pumps, or cartridges that need replacement.
With models available for capacities ranging from 2 lakh litres to 30 lakh litres, ChloriTap™ offers a robust, scalable solution for safe water delivery across India. It’s already being used and piloted across multiple states by engineers, NGOs, and government departments.

ChloriTap™ uses 200g TCCA or NADCC chlorine tablets. These are WHO-recommended and commonly available. Tablets certified under NSF/ANSI 61 or IAPMO are also compatible.
ChloriTap™ is designed to dose 1 ppm of chlorine, which is within the safe and effective range specified by BIS 10500:2012 for drinking water.
