No. ChloriTap™ operates completely without electricity. It uses gravity or pipeline flow to function — making it ideal for remote villages and off-grid areas.

 

ChloriTap™ uses 200g NSF certified chlorine tablets. These are WHO-recommended and commonly available. Tablets certified under NSF/ANSI 61 or IAPMO are also compatible.

ChloriTap™ is designed to dose 1 ppm of chlorine, which is within the safe and effective range specified by BIS 10500:2012 for drinking water.

That depends on water usage. For example:

ChloriTap™-5L: treats up to 5 lakh litres per cycle.

• Once tablets dissolve fully (over several days/weeks), simply insert new ones. No tools or parts need replacement.

Yes. The ChloriTap™-2LH model is specifically designed for handpumps and small tanks, delivering chlorine with every stroke — even children can use it safely.

Almost none. No moving parts, no electronics, and no filters. Just refill tablets when exhausted and check the chamber occasionally for residue.

Yes. Our Venturi models (e.g., ChloriTap™-30L or 50L) are designed for pressurized inlet pipes and solar-powered water schemes.

Yes. ChloriTap™ meets JJM guidelines for residual disinfection and is compatible with JJM reporting, inspection, and water quality compliance standards.

Not at all. Units are installed inline or near tanks with basic plumbing support. We provide an MS grilled enclosure and RCC base instructions for standard JJM-style deployment.
